The alquitarra differs from the traditional still in terms of design, taking up less space. The alquitarra has only two elements in a single piece.

The alquitar has at its top the shape similar to a bowl, including in its interior a semi-spherical chamber where the vapors gather. In contact with the cold surface of the basin, the vapors condense and are later expelled through the distillate outlet pipe.
